Is man created in the image of God or is God created in the imagination of man? Jesus said the Bible was true, see Matthew19:4.

I. How the evolutionist entangles man and the animals, Genesis 1:24-25. A. Were there cavemen? Yes and there are people who still live in caves, see Genesis 1:27. B. Were there dinosaurs? Yes and God created them the 6th day, see Job 40:15-18 and Job 40:24.

II. How God compares man with the animals. A. There is similarity in design because God made them both, man and animals. B. There is similarity in diet, see Genesis 1:29-31. C. There is similarity in death, see Ecclesiastes 3:19. There was no death before the fall of man—so man did NOT eat meat.

III. How God separates man from the animals. A. Man has the capacity to fellowship with God, see Genesis 26-27. B. Man has been commanded to have dominion over the earth, see Genesis 1:28. C. Man has the capability to sin (free will). D. Man has the consciousness of his own destiny, see 2 Peter 3:10. Man knows he is accountable—ultimately to God!

Personal Application:

· Don’t let the evolutionists rattle your cage—these are people Jesus died for—have compassion. · We are to treat one another with RESPECT because we are made in His image, see James 3:9-10. · We with God will live forever because we are made in His image, see Mark 8:36-37.

Does it really matter whether the earth is 6000 years old or six million years old? Was the earth really created in six, 24-hour days or were there large gaps of time between the days, or were the days really thousands of years in length? The answers to these questions are vitally important and they form the foundation of people’s faith.

The first verse of the Bible is the foundation of all which is built—the whole of Scripture. If you can believe the 1st verse of the Bible (Genesis 1:1) then you can believe the rest of the Bible, and the converse is also true. Genesis is the book of beginnings.

Hebrews 5:11-14

Intro: We worship the God who gave us the Bible. God is delighted to watch us mature spiritually, see 1 Corinthians 14:20, Ephesians 4:15, 1 Peter 2:2 and 2 Peter 3:18. The book of Hebrews encourages us (children of God, John 1:12) to grow up.

I. The problem of spiritual infancy: A. They are dull in their hearing, Hebrews 5:11. Don’t yawn in God’s Face—is the warning in Hebrews 6:1-20. B. They are delinquent in their teaching, Hebrews 5:12 and Matthew 28:18-20. C. They are deficient in their diet, Hebrews 5:12-13.

II. The pathway of spiritual maturity:  Hebrews 5:14. A. They ingest solid food. B. They implement God’s Truth. C. They identify good from evil, 1 Corinthians 2:14.

Personal Application Ask yourself:

·         Do I have ears to hear God’s Truth? Do I eat solid food?

·         Do I know God better today than I did a year ago? See James 1:22-23.

·         Are you able to integrate God’s Word in your daily life?

·         Have you ever been born—spiritual birth?

Intro: There are three groups of people interested in your money: 1. You –some handle their money badly due to ignorance and some due to disobedience. 2. God –as it relates to your justification and sanctification (Mark 4:19 and 1 Timothy 6:10) but also because God wants to bless you! (God doesn’t need your money, Psalm 50:12) 3. Satan -wants to distract and take your focus off of God’s Kingdom through mismanagement of funds.

I. God’s plan originates with return of the tithe, Malachi 3:7. A. The charge by God. B. The response of the people. C. Malachi’s defense of the charge, Malachi 3:8-9.

II. God’s plan necessitates the release of the tithe, Malachi 3:10. A. Tithing involves a definite proportion. B. Tithing involves a definite place, 1 Corinthians 16:2. C. Tithing involves a definite purpose.

III. God’s plan yields the reward of the tithe, Malachi 3:11-12. A. God will renew your faith. B. God will rebuke the devourer. C. God will restore your testimony.

Personal Application:

· When we fail to tithe we rob God. · When we fail to tithe we rob ourselves. · When we fail to tithe we rob others.

I. The Father’s House is a prepared place, John 14:2. Home is Heaven and it’s the place where God the Father lives. Paul’s vision of Heaven, 2 Corinthians 12:2-7.

II. The Father’s House is a promised place, John 14:3. Whether you go by rapture or death Jesus Christ is going to return to escort us to Heaven.

III. The Father’s House is an exclusive place, John 14:4-6. Our knowledge of Heaven is limited as was Thomas’ knowledge, John 14:5. Jesus told him that we don’t need to know because He will personally come to get us.
