Is man created in the image of God or is God created in the imagination of man?
Jesus said the Bible was true, see Matthew19:4.

I. How the evolutionist entangles man and the animals, Genesis 1:24-25.
A. Were there cavemen? Yes and there are people who still live in caves, see Genesis 1:27.
B. Were there dinosaurs? Yes and God created them the 6th day, see Job 40:15-18 and Job 40:24.

II. How God compares man with the animals.
A. There is similarity in design because God made them both, man and animals.
B. There is similarity in diet, see Genesis 1:29-31.
C. There is similarity in death, see Ecclesiastes 3:19. There was no death before the fall of man—so man did NOT eat meat.

III. How God separates man from the animals.
A. Man has the capacity to fellowship with God, see Genesis 26-27.
B. Man has been commanded to have dominion over the earth, see Genesis 1:28.
C. Man has the capability to sin (free will).
D. Man has the consciousness of his own destiny, see 2 Peter 3:10. Man knows he is accountable—ultimately to God!

Personal Application:

· Don’t let the evolutionists rattle your cage—these are people Jesus died for—have compassion.
· We are to treat one another with RESPECT because we are made in His image, see James 3:9-10.
· We with God will live forever because we are made in His image, see Mark 8:36-37.

		<itunes:summary>Hebrews 5:11-14
Intro: We worship the God who gave us the Bible. God is delighted to watch us mature spiritually, see 1 Corinthians 14:20, Ephesians 4:15, 1 Peter 2:2 and 2 Peter 3:18. The book of Hebrews encourages us (children of God, John 1:12) to grow up.
I. The problem of spiritual infancy: A. They are dull in their hearing, Hebrews 5:11. Don’t yawn in God’s Face—is the warning in Hebrews 6:1-20. B. They are delinquent in their teaching, Hebrews 5:12 and Matthew 28:18-20. C. They are deficient in their diet, Hebrews 5:12-13.
II. The pathway of spiritual maturity: Hebrews 5:14. A. They ingest solid food. B. They implement God’s Truth. C. They identify good from evil, 1 Corinthians 2:14.
Personal Application Ask yourself:
· Do I have ears to hear God’s Truth? Do I eat solid food?
· Do I know God better today than I did a year ago? See James 1:22-23.
· Are you able to integrate God’s Word in your daily life?
· Have you ever been born—spiritual birth?</itunes:summary>

III. God’s plan yields the reward of the tithe, Malachi 3:11-12.

Theme of Philippians: The person of Christ and our relationship with Him.
Theme of Philippians 4: Rejoicing in Christ.
Intro: Paul is under house arrest and chained to a Roman guard and yet he is still rejoicing!
Paul affirms his sense of belonging in the body, Philippians 4:1. Paul deeply loves these people.
I. We are to be known for our harmony, Philippians 4:2-3. These women were at odds with each other and Paul was very direct, naming names. Paul is using a Biblical principle, Matthew 18:15-17. Live in harmony (how?) in the Lord.
See Philippians 1:27, Philippians 2:2 and Philippians 2:14-15.
II. We are to be known for our rejoicing, Philippians 4:4.
We are instructed/commanded to rejoice in the Lord. We can rejoice that our name is in The Book of Life and we can serve, etc.
III. We are to be known for our forbearance, Philippians 4:5. Willingness to yield one’s personal rights. See 1 Timothy 3:2-3 and Titus 3:2.

Personal Application
· Are you right with your brother/sister?
· Are you rejoicing in the Lord?
You need to, because when we rejoice in the Lord our perspective changes.
Joy is not related to our circumstances.
· Do you have a yielding spirit? For the Lord is near!
Key Verse: Philippians 1:21

Theme: Knowing Christ - Knowing God personally. We were saved into a relationship with the Living God!
Intro: He saved us from the just wrath we deserve to the saving grace of a just God.
I. A goal to reach for, Philippians 3:12-13. Paul forgot the past and looked forward to the future with God’s truth.
II. An example to follow, Philippians 3:16. Keep focused.
III. A destruction to weep over, Philippians 3:18-19. Paul is contrasting believers and non-believers walk/manner of Christian life,
see Ephesians 4:1, Ephesians 4:17, Ephesians 5:15 and 1 John 1:7.
Here is the example/rationale, Acts 20:29-32, Paul often warned about non-Christians.
Paul is sensitive to their eternal damnation because they are not saved, see 1 Corinthians 1:17-18.
Saved by faith alone, Christ alone, see Galatians 2:21.
Warnings: see Matthew 7:15, Matthew 25:46, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 and Mark 9:48.
Hell is a Dramatic place, which is why it took a Dramatic act to conquer it-Golgotha!
IV. A future to long for, Philippians 3:20-21. Jesus, The King someday is coming back. We need to eagerly wait, see John 14:2-3.
Right after you die your spirit goes, see 1 Corinthians 15:51.

Personal Application:
1. God uses real flesh and blood models to help us put into practice the Christian life.
2. We are called to live as aliens because our citizenship is in Heaven,
see 1 Peter 1:8-9 and 1 Peter 2:11.
3. If we don’t come to know Christ it will be eternally disastrous!!!!!
